About Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages is the cruise subsidiary of Richard Branson's Virgin Group — founded in 2015, with the first ship (Scarlet Lady) launching in 2021 following pandemic-related delays. The company is headquartered in Plantation, Florida. The concept is consistently disruptive: strictly adults-only (18+), no buffet (all restaurants feature show cooking or à la carte dining at no extra charge), no dress code, no gratuities, and almost everything included in the fare — including water sports, fitness classes, and Wi-Fi.
The fleet comprises four sister ships of the Lady class (Scarlet Lady 2021, Valiant Lady 2021, Resilient Lady 2023, Brilliant Lady 2025) — each measuring 110,000 GT with capacity for 2,770 guests. The interior design comes from studios such as Tom Dixon and Concrete Amsterdam — eclectic, artistic, with a distinctive design language all its own. On board: over 20 restaurants, an on-board tattoo studio (where stylized anchors are among the designs created), a permanent drag show stage, and yoga at the bow.
The on-board language is English, and the on-board currency is the US dollar. Route highlights include the Caribbean, the Bahamas (with a private beach club on Bimini), the Mediterranean, and the Adriatic. The target audience is millennials and younger Gen X travelers who don't see themselves reflected in the traditional cruise image.
