The Oasis class by Royal Caribbean is the most famous mega-cruiser class in the world. Introduced in 2009 with Oasis of the Seas, it defined the concept of themed areas (neighbourhoods) such as the Boardwalk, Central Park and the Royal Promenade. With each new generation the ships grew slightly larger and gained new highlights, among them the Ultimate Abyss (Symphony, 2018), the Suite Neighborhood (Wonder, 2022) and the Frightening Bolt water slide (Icon, 2024).
