About TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff)
TUI Cruises was founded in 2008 as a joint venture between TUI and Royal Caribbean and operates a fleet of seven modern cruise ships under the Mein Schiff brand. The company is headquartered in Hamburg, and its concept is specifically tailored to the German-speaking premium market: all programmes, menus and announcements are in German, consistently high service standards, and a premium all-inclusive package that covers branded spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks and water in the fare.
Today's fleet consists of two generations of ships: Mein Schiff 3 through 6 (2014–2017, approx. 99,000 GT, 2,500 passengers) as well as Mein Schiff 1, 2 and 7 (2018–2024, approx. 112,000 GT, 2,900 passengers). Mein Schiff 7 is the first TUI Cruises ship to be equipped for operation using methanol as a fuel — an important step towards carbon-neutral cruising. All ships feature four to five pools, including an indoor pool beneath a glass roof, a wellness area of 1,000–1,500 m², and a sports deck with tennis and basketball facilities.
Routes: year-round Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Caribbean, and during the winter months Asia and Transatlantic. The on-board currency is the euro, and gratuities are included in the fare.
