About Silversea Cruises
Silversea Cruises was founded in 1994 by the Italian Lefebvre family and has been part of the Royal Caribbean Group since 2018. Its headquarters are in Monaco. Silversea positions itself as an ultra-luxury cruise line with a consistent all-suite concept: all cabins are suites with a veranda, butler service is included from the smallest cabin category, premium champagne and spirits are included in the fare — as are gratuities and a door-to-door service with private transfers.
The fleet comprises classic luxury yachts (Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit) as well as more modern Muse-class ships (Silver Muse 2017, Silver Moon 2020, Silver Dawn 2022) and the newest Nova class (Silver Nova 2023, Silver Ray 2024), each with 54,700 GRT and 728 guests. In addition, there are expedition yachts for the Galápagos (Silver Origin) and polar regions (Silver Endeavour, Silver Cloud). The onboard language is English and the onboard currency is the US dollar.
Routes: worldwide, with a focus on extraordinary destinations — from Antarctica to Papua New Guinea. Silversea regularly tops the Berlitz Cruise Guide rankings in the premium and luxury segment. Target audience: affluent repeat guests; crew-to-passenger ratio of almost 1:1.
