Explora Journeys

Explora Journeys is the youngest cruise line in the MSC Mediterranean Group — founded in 2021, with the first ship Explora I launching in August 2023. The company is headquartered in Geneva. The brand is clearly positioned in the premium segment, significantly above its sister line MSC Cruises: smaller ships, a higher level of service, an all-suite concept throughout, and a consistently adult-oriented style.

The planned fleet comprises six ships of the identical Explora class (Explora I, II, III, IV, V, VI). Currently in service are Explora I (2023) and Explora II (2024), each with 63,900 GRT and 922 guests in 461 ocean-facing suites. Ships from Explora III onwards will run entirely on LNG, and some are prepared for hydrogen fuel cells. On-board concept: four main restaurants and six specialty restaurants at no extra charge, three swimming pools including one with a glass roof, and a spacious spa area.

The on-board language is English (with multilingual support for European markets), and the on-board currency is the euro. Key itinerary regions include the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Caribbean. Slogan: Ocean state of mind.
