Luxury cruising has a new addition: the 220-metre Orient Express Corinthian set off on its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean in May 2026 – the first sailing yacht of the new brand Orient Express Sailing Yachts.
An XXL sailing yacht
At 220 metres in length, the Corinthian is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world. It combines the concept of a private yacht with the size of a small cruise ship and is aimed at guests in the very top luxury segment. Behind the brand stands the Orient Express name, which has always stood for travel nostalgia and exclusivity.
The maiden voyage
On its first voyage, the Corinthian called at the port of Lisbon, among others, and then set course towards Marseille and the Côte d'Azur. With this, the brand positions itself clearly in the Mediterranean luxury market.
Context
The market entry fits a clear industry trend: while Royal Caribbean and MSC build ever-larger ships, the segment of small, exclusive yacht cruises is growing in parallel – from the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection to Four Seasons Yachts. The Orient Express Corinthian is the latest addition to this premium niche market.
