About Kiel
Kiel is the most important cruise hub for Baltic Sea cruises. The port has three cruise terminals (Ostseekai, Norwegenkai, Schwedenkai) and is the home port of many AIDA ships. The city itself is manageable in size, while rail access (main train station 5 min. from the cruise terminal) and Hamburg Airport (90 min.) are both convenient.

Tips for the cruise day
Da Kiel itself is small, a day trip to Lübeck (45 min. by train, UNESCO old town) or Hamburg (90 min. by train) is worthwhile. For those staying in Kiel: a harbor cruise through the fjord, a walk along the Kiellinie.
