Tips for the cruise day
Whoever wants to see Rome in person: organized bus tour from the cruise terminal (10-12h, approx. €90) or train to Roma Termini (60 min. plus transfer pier-station). Vatican tickets must be booked in advance, otherwise expect hours-long queues. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience: Civitavecchia itself has a lovely beach and the Forte Michelangelo.
